Pasquotank County is seeking a dedicated Water/Wastewater Operator to manage daily operation and maintenance of the county's water treatment and distribution systems. Responsibilities include sample collection, lab testing coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires high school graduation and a Grade C water treatment certification (within 2 years). Candidate should be able to read meters, log data, and perform minor repairs.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of water/sewer system operation experience.
• Within 2 years of employment, possess Grade C certification in water treatment plant operation from NC DEHNR.
• General knowledge of water treatment and wastewater plant operation principles and safety.

Mansioni

• Operate and perform minor maintenance on water/wastewater facilities and equipment.
• Collect and submit water and wastewater samples for lab analysis.
• Monitor plant processes, calibrate controls, and adjust equipment as needed.
• Read meters and gauges, maintain logs and prepare required reports.
