Union County, NC is seeking a Utility Technician Supervisor to lead a crew in water and wastewater operations, including mowing, equipment operation, meter work, line maintenance, and emergency repairs. The role requires CDL with Tanker endorsement, water/wastewater operator certifications, and a pre-employment drug test.

The position involves rotating on-call duties and supervising safety/compliance. Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining records, overseeing CCTV inspections,

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement and a safe driving history.
• Ability to obtain NC DOT flagger safety, OSHA excavation, Confined Space, CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Water Distribution Operator Grade “B” or Water Pollution Control Collection System Operator Grade “2” (or ability to obtain within 18 months).
• Pre-placement drug and/or alcohol test required for this position.

Mansioni

• Oversees and trains staff in equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Monitors crew performance and enforces safety standards.
• Maintains records and prepares reports in work order systems.
• Installs/repairs water/sewer taps; locates lines; reads meters; performs CCTV inspections.
• Operates and repairs field equipment and vehicles; maintains pump stations and hydrants.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with Billing/Customer Service as needed.
