• Requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil engineering, environmental science, or related field and five years’ experience in municipal/industrial wastewater treatment, lab operations, or wastewater system inspection with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Must possess and maintain NC Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade II certification (or higher), Grade III Collection System license (or higher), and Grade A Distribution License; lower licensure acceptable if certifications obtained within first year.
• A criminal background check is required prior to hiring.

Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science or a related field and five years of experience in municipal or industrial wastewater treatment, laboratory operations, or wastewater system inspection which includes one year in a supervisory capacity. Must possess and maintain a North Carolina Wastewater Treatment Plan Operator Grade II certification or higher, Grade III Collection System Operator license or higher, and Grade A Distribution License. Will accept lower levels of licensure with the understanding that appropriate certifications must be obtained within the first year of employment in this position.
