Job summary

ClearWater Solutions, LLC is seeking a Water Operator (Grade B) to oversee the operation, maintenance and supervision of water distribution and treatment in orange Alamance and surrounding areas in NC. The role requires handling pumps, valves, and test sampling while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in water treatment operations, a high school diploma or GED, and preferably NC Class B Surface certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in water treatment plant operations.
• Knowledge of drinking water regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to document operations and complete regulatory reports accurately.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work weekends, overtime and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water distribution system including servicing of pumps, motors, valves, generators, and equipment.
• Maintains pump stations and monitors equipment.
• Performs sample collection, preparation, and laboratory testing.
• Maintains records, performs data entry, and provides detailed reporting.
• Ensures completion of work assignments within deadlines and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Analyzes and evaluates pump equipment and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and infrastructure.
• Performs facility grounds and landscape maintenance as part of site upkeep.
