Job summary

Veolia LabWater Solutions is seeking a customer-focused Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory water purification systems across North America. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, independent work style, and collaboration with Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Service teams.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering/technical degree or equivalent field service experience, plus at least two years of hands-on service.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of field service experience installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers at all levels.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills; prioritize calls and admin tasks.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems per procedures and specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and software updates.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Replace defective components and perform corrective maintenance to restore operation.
• Complete service reports, calibration docs, and admin paperwork on time.
• Generate quotes for billable repairs, PM agreements, and system upgrades.
• Train customers on proper system operation and maintenance.
