Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, and service laboratory water purification systems across the Northeast region. The role requires extensive travel, including overnight stays, and frequent interaction with customers to ensure top quality service and compliance with safety policies.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree or relevant field service experience, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or equivalent, or relevant field service experience.
• Minimum 2 years of field service installing, maintaining, and repairing technical equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with customers at all levels.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with multiple calls and admin tasks.
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate laboratory water purification systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, software updates, and verifications.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment at customer sites.
• Replace defective components and restore equipment to spec.
• Prepare service reports, calibration docs, and administrative paperwork on time.
• Generate quotations for billable repairs, PM agreements, and upgrades.
• Manage PM opportunities within territory with Sales and Customer Service teams.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to emergency service requests promptly with professional communication.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through technical excellence and service quality.
• Keep tools, test equipment, inventory, and vehicle organized and service-ready.
