Job summary

Veolia Water Tech seeks a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair laboratory water purification systems at customer sites across a Northeast-based territory, including Boston and surrounding states. You will work independently while coordinating with Technical Support, Sales, and Customer Service.

The role requires a technical degree, hands-on field service experience, strong diagnostic skills, and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years field service installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, configure, and validate water purification systems per procedures and specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and software updates for optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical equipment failures at customer sites.
• Document service reports, calibrations, and administrative paperwork accurately and on time.
• Generate quotes for repairs, PM agreements, and system upgrades.
• Train customers on system operation and maintenance; respond to emergency service requests.
