Job summary

The City of Greeley is seeking a Water Systems Technician I-IV to join the Transmission and Distribution Fire Hydrants and Valve Maintenance team within the Water & Sewer Department.

Reporting to the Transmission and Distribution Maintenance Crew Supervisor, this position performs maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of the City's potable water distribution system to ensure reliable delivery of safe drinking water.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and valid driver's license.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Experience with water utility maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of valve maintenance and PRV operation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and maintains PRVs, hydrants, valves, and related components.
• Performs utility locates and maintains water distribution infrastructure.
• Responds to water main breaks and service interruptions; completes work orders in CityWorks.
• Operates tools and vehicles; participates in on-call rotation and safety procedures.
