Job summary

Roto-Rooter is seeking a Water Monitoring Technician to support our Water Restoration Division at the Baltimore branch in Elkridge, MD. This field-based role focuses on inspecting active restoration projects, documenting drying progress, and reporting findings to the Project Manager.

You will monitor equipment, verify readings against standards, communicate with customers, and ensure compliance with IICRC procedures.

Qualifications

• Service technician experience preferably in the restoration industry.
• Strong customer service focus and able to communicate effectively with customers.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Clean driving record and pass background check.
• IICRC Certification a PLUS!

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled monitoring visits on assigned active water restoration projects.
• Confirm equipment is operating properly and remains appropriate for current job conditions.
• Obtain and document moisture readings from all affected materials and areas and report to Project Manager.
• Photo documentation of drying progress.
• Ensure overall compliance with IICRC and RRSC procedures.
• Communicate with the customer during monitoring visits and provide professional updates.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence while representing Roto-Rooter.
