Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience focusing on water resource-related work, including fisheries, hydropower, dams, and flood control. The candidate will contribute to a range of civil infrastructure projects across the U.S. and Canada.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Structural or Civil Engineering, an MS in Structural Engineering preferred, and licensure such as P.E. or P.Eng. Travel up to 15% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• MS in Structural Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery projects, hydropower, dams, water conveyance, storm water networks, heavy grading, water treatment, spillways, and pump stations

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documentation reports and technical memorandums.
• Evaluate and apply advanced structural design techniques.
• Perform structural analyses using hand calculations and software.
• Develop details and drawings by hand or CAD.
• Edit project specifications and assist with the Project Manual.
• Support construction through submittals, site inspections, and conformance reporting.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services.
• Collect and analyze field data and existing conditions for design criteria.
• Provide mentorship to other engineering staff.
