Job summary

BKF is seeking a seasoned Business Sector Lead for Water Resources in California to provide strategic leadership, drive market growth, manage P&L, and cultivate client relationships across multiple service areas. The role requires a strong track record in leading large, complex water resources projects and guiding cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-value solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years leading complex projects in Water Resources; senior leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan for Water Resources aligning with BKF’s goals.
• Lead market growth, growth opportunities, and partnerships.
• Own P&L for water resources and drive profitability and backlog health.
• Lead and mentor teams, talent development, and succession planning.
• Represent BKF with clients, partners, and industry organizations.
