Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to lead drainage and hydrology design for railroad transportation projects nationwide. You will perform hydraulic analyses, produce drainage reports, and contribute to plan production while collaborating with civil-rail and structural-rail teams.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering and 12–16 years of drainage experience, with a PE license preferred and strong communication skills to work across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
  • 12–16 years of transportation drainage experience.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and plan production software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydraulic and hydrology analyses for transportation projects.
  • Prepare drainage reports per client and industry standards.
  • Assist with plan production for drainage design and stormwater management.
  • Monitor project progress and contribute to milestones.
  • Develop hydrologic/hydraulic models, studies, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure high-quality engineering documents and adherence to QA processes.
  • Assist with project pursuits.
