Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to support client management, project coordination, and technical delivery within our water resources group.

The role spans independent work on small projects to team efforts on larger ones, with a bias toward growth and professional development. Ideal candidates will have consulting experience, project management background, and the drive to lead planning, permitting, design, and construction

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental or civil engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer or can be obtained within 6 months. Expected to become licensed in MN and ND, at minimum.
Minimum of six years of experience.
Prior consulting experience, highly preferred.
Preferably two years of project management experience coordinating and managing tasks and interacting with clients and environmental regulatory agency contacts.
Typical office environment; field work may involve exposure to the elements.

Responsibilities

Develop proposals and manage project budgets and schedules.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal staff.
Perform and oversee project technical work across water resources.
Participate in planning, conceptual design, and detailed design and implementation.
Lead or contribute to design of grading, drainage, water, hydrology, and erosion control.
Lead water resource planning studies for conveyance, flood analysis, water quality, and ecological benefits.
