Job summary

Texas Water Development Board is seeking a Water Supply Planning Division Technical Lead Engineer VI/Project Manager V to guide statewide water planning efforts. You will lead technical teams, coordinate advisory groups, and oversee complex planning projects tied to Senate Bill 7 and early-stage collaboration among providers.

Ideal candidates have PE licensure or eligibility, strong hydrologic modeling, and experience with contract oversight, data management, and public presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or eligible to obtain within six months.
• Five years of relevant work experience for Engineer VI or Project Manager V level.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in regional and state water planning.
• Coordinate advisory groups and manage contracts for planning projects.
• Develop long-range water demand projections and risk assessments.
