Job summary

The Texas Water Development Board's Water Supply Planning Division seeks a motivated, technically oriented leader to guide regional and state water planning efforts. This role includes advancing Senate Bill 7 initiatives, establishing coordination among stakeholders, and integrating outcomes into planning processes.

The ideal candidate brings civil engineering expertise, hydrologic modeling experience, GIS data management, strong communication, and contract/team leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain Texas P.E. license within six months.
• Experience managing projects/programs and contracts with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as advisor and technical expert on engineering matters for the division.
• Contribute to development and communication of the state water plan.
• Coordinate advisory technical groups to promote collaboration among providers.
