Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Water Resources team in Dallas. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn our standard practices, and contribute to design tasks.

The role emphasizes hands-on design using AutoCAD Civil3D and related tools, preparing drawings and reports, coordinating with agencies, and advancing toward a Professional Engineering license.

Qualifications

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work.
• Provides technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer, including drafting support for plan production activities.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
• Prepares drawings and visual aids.
• Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, HEC RAS, or other related engineering software.
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Observes construction activities and works to develop an understanding of construction methods and the translation of engineering drawings and specifications into the constructed product.
• Works to learn the fundamentals of engineering processes and to apply them successfully to operating systems.
• Coordination with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint.
• Other duties as assigned.
