Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Infrastructure Design team in Dallas.

You will support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn company standards, and contribute to public infrastructure projects, preparing plans, specs, and calculations. You will gain experience with design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, Open Roads, MicroStation, HEC RAS) and collaborate with agency staff to translate drawings into built projects, while pursuing a Professional

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or equivalent.
Engineer-in-Training certificate or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Open Roads or equivalent software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work.
Provide technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer.
Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
Prepare drawings and visual aids for plans and specifications.
Create exhibits and design drawings using listed software.
Follow QA/QC procedures and engineering standards.
Observe construction activities to understand methods and translation of drawings.
Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs and analysis.
Develop calculations in Excel, create reports and letters in Word, and prepare presentations in PowerPoint.
Other duties as assigned.
