Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Water Resources team in San Antonio, TX. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn company standards, and develop skills in design software, calculations, and project management.

The role emphasizes learning and collaboration, with goals toward licensure and professional growth within our Public Infrastructure group. Start dates include January 2026 or May/June 2027 as noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (or equivalent).
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work.
• Provide technical drafting support for plan production activities.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Create exhibits and designs using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, OpenRoads, HEC-RAS, or related software.
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures and engineering standards.
• Observe construction activities to understand methods and translate drawings to the constructed product.
• Collaborate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs and analyses.
• Develop calculations in Excel, prepare reports and letters in Word, and create presentations in PowerPoint.
• Other duties as assigned.
