Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer for the Land Development team to contribute to water resources projects, including stormwater modeling, floodplain analysis and hydraulic design.

This role targets recent graduates or engineers with up to 3 years of experience seeking growth within a mission-driven firm. You will work on exhibits, collaborate with agency staff, and leverage advanced software tools to deliver sustainable community solutions while receiving

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software.
Experience with water modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CAD, 2D Analysis, ArcPro).

Responsibilities

Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
Dive into stormwater modeling, floodplain analysis, and hydraulic design for community projects.
Collaborate with engineers on transformative projects to develop sustainable solutions.
Gain hands-on experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, CAD, 2D Analysis and ArcPro to realize innovative designs.
