Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Infrastructure Design team in Dallas. You will work alongside a licensed Civil Engineer, learning practices and local codes while contributing to plans, specs, and calculations.

The role emphasizes proficiency with CAD tools, preparation of reports, and coordination with agencies. Candidates should be organized, self-motivated, and eager to pursue Professional Engineer licensure.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or equivalent, to be obtained within 6-12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training certification, or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
• Willingness to learn and apply design standards and codes.

Aufgaben

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work
• Provides technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer, including drafting support for plan production activities
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations
• Prepares drawings and visual aids
• Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, HEC RAS, or other related engineering software
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Observes construction activities and works to develop an understanding of construction methods and the translation of engineering drawings and specifications into the constructed product
• Works to learn the fundamentals of engineering processes and to apply them successfully to operating systems
• Coordination with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues
• Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint
• Other duties as assigned
