Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our team in Massachusetts. You will work with experienced engineers on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects, gaining hands-on experience in hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, and systems modeling.

As part of a collaborative team, you will conduct research, assist with data collection and analysis, and support model updates using tools like HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, CADD, Excel, and Access.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
• internship to gain hands-on experience supporting water resources projects including hydrologic, hydraulic, water quality and systems modeling.
• Experience with collecting and organizing data, and supporting model updates is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and assist with data collection and analysis.
• Support engineers with updating and running models and post-processing model results.
• Assist with organizing, analyzing, and managing project data.
• Gain exposure to tools such as HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, CADD, Excel, and Access.
