Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join the Water Services team in Denver, CO. You’ll work with a dynamic team on diverse projects and contribute to hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, supporting data-driven decisions.

You may access HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, CAD, Excel and Access for data display and modeling tasks while learning under senior engineers. This internship provides hands-on experience in water resources and modeling workflows.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Water Resources or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills beneficial.
• Exposure to water resources topics in projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and data analysis.
• Support updating and running models and post-processing results.
• Gain exposure to software tools like HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, CAD, Excel and Access.
