Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Services team. This internship provides hands-on experience across planning, design, and construction while learning from seasoned professionals on a diverse portfolio of municipal, federal, and industrial projects.

You will research engineering solutions and support analyses, reporting and design activities, plus help prepare technical documents and presentations using ArcGIS, SWMM, CADD and Excel.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelors in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering analyses and design efforts on water, wastewater, and environmental projects.
• Assisting with technical reports, calculations, and project documentation.
• Developing maps, figures, presentations, and other project materials.
• Participating in fieldwork and construction management activities, providing exposure to the full project lifecycle.
