Job summary

Stantec in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to support client management, project management, and technical work within our water resources group. You will work independently on smaller projects or as a team member on larger ones, with a strong emphasis on project delivery and client service.

Ideal candidates have six years of consulting or water resources experience, are self-motivated, collaborate well, and are prepared to travel for site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or can be obtained within 6 months of employment; expected to become licensed in MN and ND.
• Minimum of six years of experience; consulting experience preferred.
• Preferably two years of project management experience coordinating tasks and interacting with clients/regulatory agency contacts.
• Willingness to travel for meetings and fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop proposals; manage project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and internal staff.
• Perform and oversee project technical work.
• Lead water resource planning studies for conveyance, flood analysis, water quality, and ecological benefits.
• Prepare technical reports, concept designs, construction drawings, bidding documents, and permit applications.
• Lead or participate in project permitting processes.
