Job summary
CME Associates is seeking a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join the HMB team in a hybrid role with locations across KY and TN. The successful candidate will assist with design, hydraulics, permitting, and field work on drinking water and sanitary sewer projects.
Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree, can obtain EIT within 6 months, and have up to four years of water resources experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 0–4 years in water resources engineering (internships/co-ops allowed).
- Familiarity with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design and analysis of water resource projects including drinking water and sanitary sewer networks.
- Perform hydraulic calculations using modeling software.
- Support permitting with technical reports and regulatory applications.
- Conduct field investigations and data collection for utility design.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare drawings, maps, specs, contract docs, and reports using AutoCAD, GIS, and related software.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices.
