Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Water/Wastewater team in Louisville, KY. The role supports design and analysis of water resource projects and cross-disciplinary collaboration with civil engineers and regulatory agencies.

Opportunities exist in Nashville, Frankfort, Lexington, and Louisville. The position offers a hybrid schedule and competitive compensation. A strong focus on timely delivery and client satisfaction is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0-4 years of water resources engineering experience (internships or co-op applicable).
• Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
• AutoCAD proficiency desired.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of water resource projects (drinking water, sanitary sewer).
• Perform hydraulic calculations using modeling software.
• Support permitting with technical reports and regulatory applications.
• Conduct field investigations and data collection for utility design.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, environmental specialists and regulators.
• Prepare drawings, maps, specs, and reports using AutoCAD, GIS.
