Job summary

CME Associates in Nashville, TN seeks a Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join the HMB team. You will assist in design and analysis of water resources projects, perform hydraulic calculations, and collaborate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred.
• 0-4 years of water resources engineering experience (internships or co-op applicable).
• Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD desirable.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of water resource projects, including drinking water and sanitary sewer networks.
• Perform hydraulic calculations using modeling software and industry tools.
• Support permitting with technical reports and regulatory applications.
• Conduct field investigations and data collection for utility design.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulators.
• Prepare drawings, maps, specs, and reports using AutoCAD, GIS, and related software.
• Maintain awareness of regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
