Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Resources team in Albuquerque, NM for 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.

Candidates should be enrolled in civil engineering or related programs, with preference for those entering their senior year. The internship offers hands-on experience and exposure to projects in water resources, energy, land development, and municipal areas.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited BS degree with civil engineering coursework or related field.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical experience in solving engineering problems and applying approved methods.
• Review plans, site layouts, and specifications to ensure compliance with requirements and safety.
• Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Meet deadlines and collaborate in a team environment.
• Assist in engineering design and cost estimation on project portions.
