Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Water Resources team in Albuquerque, NM for a 10-12 week summer internship. You will work with experienced engineers on real projects, gaining hands-on CAD, design, and analysis experience while supporting multi-disciplinary teams.

Applicants should be enrolled in a civil engineering program with a minimum 3.2 GPA and a drive to learn. Preference for seniors; on-site work in Albuquerque with a strong mentorship culture and meaningful

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Minimum cumulative GPA 3.2.

Responsibilities

Develop practical experience in resolving engineering problems and applying approved methods.
Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specs, and construction methods for compliance and safety.
Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and project drawings.
Meet deadlines and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Prepare engineering designs and cost estimates for project portions.
Assist in analyzing engineering data and technical documents.
