Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Water Resources team in Fort Collins, CO for 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027. Qualifications

Must be enrolled in a BS in civil engineering or related program with minimum 3.2 GPA.
Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with Civil Engineering software, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficient in Google Suite and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

Develop practical experience in resolving engineering problems and applying standards.
Review plans, site layouts, specifications or construction methods for compliance with regulations and safety.
Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil3D on real projects.
Prepare engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates for assigned project portions.
Collaborate with engineers in a multidisciplinary team to meet deadlines.
