Job summary

Halifax County Government is seeking a maintainer to perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and reading of water meters, and to assist with water and sewer line upkeep.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid North Carolina driver's license, and a willingness to learn meter-reading software. CDL is preferred; a background check will be completed before hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance or construction of water lines is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn meter reading software and hardware.
• Valid NC driver's license.

Responsibilities
