Job summary

Nexus Water Group is seeking a Field Tech I to read meters, record data for billing, and support basic maintenance of our water and wastewater systems in the Charlotte area.

The role requires at least 2 years of mechanical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Travel between service areas near Charlotte, NC is expected, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of mechanical work experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Water meter reading experience preferred is listed as nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Read water meters and record data for customer billing.
• Document customer interactions and field activities in CC&B.
• Act as liaison between customers and service personnel for issue resolution.
• Respond to inquiries about meter reading schedules and billing.
• Assist with maintenance of water/wastewater facilities and systems.
