Position Overview

This position reports to the Water Market Leader.

Your role and responsibilities

  1. Mission Statement: Responsible for sales of products, systems, and services within the municipal and industrial water markets in our Midwest Region, aligned with our strategy. Build long-term customer relationships, resolve specific customer needs and issues, identify and develop sales opportunities, and grow this vital market year over year.
  2. The work model for this role is remote. #LI-remote
  3. This role contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement, and Analytics Division in the Midwest.
  4. You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Communicating delivery details, payments, and general terms to customers, in line with ABB's offerings and strategy.
  • Ensuring effective marketing activities and communicating value propositions to customers.
  • Identifying and developing new market opportunities.
  • Managing sales administrative procedures and supporting cash collection and project management activities as needed.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with knowledge or experience in flow, level, pressure, and continuous water analysis solutions within the water industry.
  • Ability to leverage existing industry relationships to bring new opportunities to ABB.
  • Ability to develop and execute structured sales processes and strategies that improve efficiency and foster a winning team.
  • Strong competitor knowledge; passion for selling and winning.
  • Focus on end users—their needs, goals, how they buy, maintain equipment, and partner with suppliers.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, channel partners, and end users—from field personnel to executives.
