Job summary

Aqua Pennsylvania is seeking a Project Engineer I to oversee capital projects for its water distribution systems, including pipelines and treatment upgrades. You will ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, 1–3 years of design experience, and an Engineer-in-Training certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months. A PA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• 1–3 years of design experience, preferably water projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects including water mains, storage tanks, booster stations and treatment upgrades.
• Prepare studies and reports to guide system planning and improvements.
• Develop and implement annual capital improvement plans for water infrastructure.
• Prepare permit applications and manage regulatory approvals at local, state, and federal levels.
• Prepare bid documents, oversee bidding, and manage contract requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads, consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
