Job summary

Stantec seeks a Construction Inspector to join our water infrastructure team and oversee field inspections on projects. You will document progress, coordinate with owners and contractors, and ensure quality and safety in accordance with project specifications.

The ideal candidate has at least six years of inspection experience and an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of construction project inspection experience.
• Associate degree preferred in Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
• Ability to discuss project issues with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide single-point field inspection of the contractor’s work.
• Act as field contact to Owner and represent Stantec positively.
• Monitor, inspect and document work and prepare Daily Reports with observations and photos.
• Inspect and verify contractor compliance per manuals and specifications.
• Communicate with contractors regarding conformance to standards.
• Review and document potential changes affecting scope, time or cost.
