Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a seasoned Civil/Mechanical Engineer in Florida to design and oversee water and wastewater pipeline projects. The position emphasizes quality control, design review, and potential project management responsibilities, with a focus on large-diameter pipelines and complex hydrological systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater pipeline projects.
• Experience with Stormwater, water systems, and sanitary sewer projects.
• Experience with large-diameter pipelines (>60 inches) preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design concepts and sketches for review by junior engineers.
• Plan and review production of drawings and specifications.
• Develop plans and criteria for new projects and evaluate alternatives.
• Analyze technical problems and propose solutions.
• Prepare cost, manpower estimates, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with project manager and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure quality control and review designs and drawings.
• May manage projects occasionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
