Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a CAD Designer (Water Infrastructure) in Henderson, NV to lead multi-discipline design efforts for water/wastewater projects. The role emphasizes CAD/BIM production, BIM standards, and cross-office coordination with Civil 3D, Revit and Plant 3D literacy.

You will guide junior staff, coordinate with engineers and project managers, and contribute to propsoals with accurate drawings and specifications. The position offers growth in BIM leadership and multi-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent technical discipline and five years of experience, or
• Associate’s degree with twelve years’ progressive drafting/design experience including at least four as a Designer.
• Experience on multi-discipline projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and Plant 3D with proficiency in at least one.
• Proven CAD team management, Autodesk Construction Cloud folder setup, project folder maintenance and phasing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to enforce BIM standards and deliver innovative design solutions.
• Ability to lead CAD/BIM production workflows and coordinate across offices globally.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual and final design of utilities, grading, pavement and drainage, and water/sewer systems.
• Reads survey data, codes, and standards and applies them to designs.
• Performs calculations using algebra, geometry and trigonometry as required.
• Develops and lays out conceptual and final designs for proposals and projects.
• Performs designs using CAD and develops construction details.
• Prepare exhibits, specifications, cost estimates and permits as needed.
• Manage BIM support and coordinate multi-discipline projects; oversee BIM activities.
• Provide oversight and training to junior designers and engineers.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
