Job summary

At AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. in Tallahassee, Florida, we seek a Senior Water Resources Engineer to provide expert hydrology and hydraulics design, floodplain management, and transportation hydraulics capability. You will lead and mentor junior engineers, plan investigations, and coordinate with project managers to deliver quality designs on time.

A P.E. license and BS/MS in Civil Engineering are required, with 9–10 years of experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering.
• P.E. license is required.
• Ten years' experience since B.S. or nine years' since M.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior engineers in design concepts.
• Plan and review investigations, planning work, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting cost-effective solutions.
• Analyze technical problems and devise new approaches and alternative solutions.
• Prepare cost and manpower estimates, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate work with project managers and guide drafting and design of plans.
• Provide quality control and maintain quality standards.
