Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead municipal projects in Orlando, FL. The role involves managing contracts, budgets and schedules, and guiding hydrologic and hydraulic modeling efforts across multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates will hold a Florida PE with 10+ years of experience, strong technical writing and communication skills, and a proven track record in working with municipalities and water agencies.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida with 10+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule and deliverable performance.
• Demonstrated experience working with municipalities, water management districts, and other water agencies.
• Good technical writing, computer and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Project manager for multiple municipal projects and negotiations with clients and sub-consultants.
• Plans, schedules, billings and reports, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work.
• Performs preliminary engineering design and reviews design/drafting work of junior staff.
• Coordinates with external clients at progress meetings to meet schedules and goals.
• Prepares cost and man-hour estimates, budgets and schedules.
• Quality control and guidance of junior staff in hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods.
• Prepares final plans, reports and modeling documents for approval.
• Coordinates work with other engineers and professionals.
