Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Civil Engineer Intern to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Southwest region. This Summer internship offers exposure to design guides, project teams, and basic engineering tasks while building practical skills.

You'll read, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, perform analyses, and assist with schedules, cost estimates, and deliverables under supervision.

Qualifications

• No experience required; must be enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Interest in water/wastewater infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to read design guides and standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop familiarity with design guides, standards, and policies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on water/wastewater projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations and basic deliverables.
• Support project schedules and cost estimates.
