Job summary

Tri-State Water, Power & Air is recruiting for a Water Heater Installer in Illinois. This full-time, performance-based role focuses on installing and replacing residential water heaters, including tank and tankless systems, with a pay-up-for-performance structure and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.

The ideal candidate has residential plumbing experience, knowledge of codes and venting, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Prior residential plumbing experience with water heater installation.
• Experience with both tank and tankless water heaters preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, venting, and gas piping.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace residential water heaters, including tank and tankless systems.
• Remove old equipment and keep work area clean and organized.
• Ensure installations meet codes, manufacturer specs and quality standards.
• Test installed systems for proper operation and safety.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
• Complete required job documentation and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Coordinate with dispatch and team members to complete installations on schedule.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous residential plumbing experience with water heater installation.

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
