Job summary

Tri-State Water, Power & Air in Illinois is hiring a Water Heater Install Helper to support our installation team and gain hands-on experience with water heater installations, including traditional and tankless units.

You will assist lead installers, load and organize tools, and learn proper installation techniques while maintaining a clean work area and following safety procedures. This role offers growth in the skilled trades.

Qualifications

• Some plumbing, construction, HVAC, or mechanical experience preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in residential plumbing.
• Comfortable working in residential homes and job sites.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift equipment and materials and perform physical job duties.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Motivated to build a long-term career in the skilled trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with water heater installations and replacements.
• Help with installation of tank and tankless water heaters.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare job sites and ensure the work area is clean and safe.
• Assist with plumbing connections, fittings, piping, and other installation tasks.
• Follow direction from lead installers and learn proper installation techniques.
• Help ensure installations are completed efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle, tools, and job site.
• Provide a positive and professional experience for homeowners.
• Follow all company safety procedures and installation standards.
