Job summary

American Water in Missouri is seeking a Superintendent, Field Operations to lead daily water and/or wastewater operations, ensuring safety, compliance and efficiency. The role involves supervising regional teams, coordinating construction and maintenance, and driving operational improvements in a regulated utility environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license; safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day water and/or wastewater operations in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Coordinate regional construction, operations and maintenance within budget.
• Develop personnel and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure permits, licenses and rights of way are obtained as needed.
• Support customer service and cross-functional collaboration to mitigate risks.
