Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. in Roaring Creek, PA is seeking a Utility Worker I to join the Local Office team. You will repair main breaks and service leaks, install new services, and maintain valves and hydrants, while performing water main mark outs per PA One Call.

You will use company handheld devices to document work orders, read maps and schematics, and perform monthly leak detection. A valid driver's license is required, and a CDL must be obtained within 120 days; lifting 100 lbs and operating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• CDL to be attained within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• DOT Medical exam may be required.
• Proficiency with computers and office/web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water distribution facilities including mains, valves and hydrants.
• Reads maps, drawings, and GIS data for work planning.
• Repairs main breaks and service leaks; installs new services.
• Performs field service and meter reading work as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with EPA/PUC rules and safety policies.
• Responds to after-hours calls and may require overtime.
