Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is hiring a Utility Worker I at the Susquehanna location. You will report to the Field Supervisor and repair main breaks and leaks, install new services, and maintain valves and hydrants, with record-keeping in our work order system.

Responsibilities include performing water main mark outs per PA One Call, running monthly leak detection, and reading maps. You may operate backhoes, excavators, and other equipment, and overtime or after-hours work may be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL within 120 days of hire and PA Waterworks Class B licensing within 36 months.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs and operate heavy equipment safely.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; web-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair water mains, service leaks, install new services, and repair valves and hydrants.
• Perform monthly leak detection and water main mark outs per PA One Call.
• Operate backhoe, excavator, dump truck, and related equipment.
• Read maps and GIS data; document work orders with handheld device.
• Respond to after-hours calls and overtime as needed.
