Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is hiring a Utility Worker I at the Roaring Creek Local Office in PA. You will repair main breaks, service leaks, install new services, and handle valve and hydrant work, including monthly leak detection.

Emphasis on safety, EPA and PUC compliance, and accurate time logging via a wireless device. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• A CDL must be attained within 90 days of hire.
• DOT Medical exam required as part of hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water distribution facilities including mains, hydrants and valves.
• Reads maps, drawings and schematics including GIS data.
• Performs field service, meter reading and leak detection duties.
• Documents work and time in the company system using wireless handheld devices.
• Responds to after-hour calls and supports overtime as needed.
• Ensures compliance with EPA and state regulatory requirements.
