Job summary

The City of Tigard is seeking a dedicated water distribution professional to join our Public Works Water Division. You will install, maintain, and repair water distribution infrastructure including service lines, hydrants, pumps, and storage facilities, while ensuring safety and code compliance.

This role emphasizes teamwork, after-hours emergency response, and a path to certification; a Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and Oregon water distribution license are required or pursued within two

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years related experience in streets, underground utilities, or parks and landscape.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair water distribution infrastructure including service lines, hydrants, pumps, and storage facilities.
• Inspect water service for code compliance.
• Perform maintenance such as water main flushing, valve exercising, hydrant maintenance, and meter work.
