Job summary

City of Tigard is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to support our wastewater and stormwater programs. You will install basins and manholes, perform repairs, and keep drainage systems functioning for a growing community.

You will work with a dedicated team, use Vactor trucks for cleaning, and assist the public with questions about the sanitary system. A valid Class A CDL is required within six months, and a physical capacities test will be part of the process.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school diploma and two years of related experience.
• Class A CDL within six months of hire.
• Pass a physical capacities test to evaluate ability to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Install catch basins, manholes, and mainline components for stormwater systems.
• Perform spot repairs and maintenance of wastewater and storm locations.
• Assist citizens with questions about the sanitary system and connections.
• Operate Vactor trucks to clean main pipes and basins.
