The City of Tigard is seeking a dedicated Water Distribution Technician to join the Public Works Water Division in Tigard, OR. You will install, repair, and maintain water mains, hydrants, meters, and service lines, while following safety practices and code requirements.

Occasional after-hours work and physical capacity testing are part of the role; candidates should have a Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and relevant licenses. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade and two years of related experience.
• Class A CDL Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement.
• First Aid Certificate (American Red Cross) within six months of entry.
• CPR Certification within six months of entry.
• Confined Space Entry Certification.
• Competent Person Certification.
• Water Distribution License through Oregon Health Authority within two years.

Responsabilités

• Install, repair and replace water distribution main lines.
• Repair fire hydrants, water meters and water service lines.
• Perform water main flushing and valve exercising.
• Maintain areas around water meters.
• Inspect water service for code compliance.
