Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Conveyance Project Manager to lead delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance projects in Oregon. You will guide a team of engineers through design, mentor mid-level staff, and directly interact with clients to craft technical solutions.

You’ll also contribute to business development, pursue new work, and help shape strategy while growing professionally within our hybrid, US-based teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Agricultural, Mechanical, Environmental, and/or related engineering discipline.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required. If not registered in Oregon, you must be able to obtain within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in related roles.
• Design Management, Assistant Project Management, and/or Project Management experience providing leadership and oversight of project delivery.
• Ability to lead the design and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, studies, proposals and/or reports.
• Ideally, you’ll also have a Master’s degree in discipline listed above.
• 12 or more years of experience working in engineering roles.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on medium to large water conveyance projects.
• Experience serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including conveyance pipeline design, project management, water/wastewater pump station design.
• Strong network among clients in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance and storage projects for our clients in Oregon.
• Lead a team of engineers through the design process and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Interact directly with clients to develop and deliver technical conveyance solutions.
• Grow career by acting as a seller-doer and manage projects.
• Lead business development activities with key clients and pursue new work.
